Kayak Travel
Man is always known to have loved traveling. In fact his curiosity to explore the world is what made him build various instruments to travel and a kayak is a perfect example. Kayak travel was practiced first by the native people from Arctic region. It was mainly used for hunting in lakes, rivers and waters of Arctic Ocean, North Atlantic, Bering Sea and North Pacific oceans. Basically they relied on it for their struggle for existence. In fact, some became so good at it that they could even balance their bodies on kayaks.
Basically, what is kayak travel? It’s simply sailing in a small boat powered by humans. A kayak is a concave lens like shaped boat also known as a canoe. It’s covered by a deck and has a cockpit covered by a sprat deck. It simply works with a double bladed paddle that is manually paddled while seated. Another name for it is a hunter’s boat.
If you’re adventures and like trying new things, then why not try kayaking. It gives an immense pleasure to travel and see natures’ beauty in seas, lakes, rivers or even explore the unknown world. Days have gone by and as everything is changing with time, so is kayaking. Some notable changes are in structure and shape, but they simply depend with the use of the kayak. For instance, indigenous people would use a kayak known as baidarka to transport people and goods.
Today’s kayak travel destinations include; Everglades National park in Florida, which is in fact one of the most famous places for kayaking. Another destination is Potomac river in Mary land also known as Whitewater gem. Others are; Texas, Washington and East Matagorda. To be honest, you’ll have fun kayaking.
